Milwaukee’s Paul Noth is the first Wisconsin Cartoonist Laureate for the Museum of Wisconsin Art. He’ll act as an ambassador for the art form around the state and highlight Wisconsin’s important role in the history of American comics.

Discover The American Landscape: Beyond the Horizon, a timely exhibition drawing from MOWA’s permanent collection and select loans to explore how artists have interpreted Wisconsin’s landscape across two centuries—not simply as scenery, but as a source of identity, memory, and change.

Featuring historic and contemporary works, The American Landscape brings together Native perspectives, immigrant narratives, and reflections on the environment to offer a deeper understanding of the land we call home.

The American Landscape is now on view at the Museum of Wisconsin Art through July 19.
