B.R. Creations Intarsia Intarsia is an art form that dates back 1400 years to northern Africa. It gained popularity in Italy in about 1400.

Skilled carpenters where employed to incorporate intarsia designs into furniture for the wealthy. Many fine examples can be seen in Italian churches. This is a very labor intensive art form, each piece is individualy cut, shaped, and finished. The pieces are then glued together to form a picture. Wood is chosen for its color, grain, and texture. The wood I use is comes from around the globe, which ca

n be very expensive. The wood I use is all in its natural color, no stains or dyes are used. I can find just about any color except for blue. The pictures I make range from people to animals to nature, and anything in between.
