This is “My Hideaway”

I painted this several years ago on a day when everything felt heavy. My mind wasn’t quiet, my heart wasn’t light, and I needed somewhere to go… even if it was just on canvas.

So I created one.

A place to escape.
A place where the noise softened.
A place that felt like I could just be for a moment.

Looking at it now, I’m reminded that even in our darkest moments, we still have the ability to create something meaningful… something that holds us together when we feel like we’re falling apart.

Art isn’t always about beauty.
Sometimes it’s about survival.

Every one of these cupcakes is made with my homemade buttercream, carefully mixed, colored, and piped by hand. From delicate florals to bold seasonal designs, each one is truly its own little piece of edible art.

I’ve had my fair share of challenges along the way (temperature battles, piping bags bursting, you name it 😅), but moments like these make it all worth it. Seeing them come together—and knowing how much they’re enjoyed—means everything.

Just like my paintings, no two are ever exactly the same… and that’s what makes them special 💕
