"Illustrating Life's most important moments through art" Hello my name is Michael P Meilak, for those who don't know me. And then Calvin & Hobbes. Michael P.

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. It all started with me trying to draw Garfield. I have always love to draw cartoons, and was never able to illustrate people,
I couldn't get the perspective correct, until I went to school in Pittsburgh. At The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I took a class in which I had to find a black & white photograph of a person face with good shadows on it. I

was told to turn the photograph upside down and draw it that way. This technique allows you to "trick" your brain into seeing the object
and negative space. And it just "clicked" for me and I have been doing every Illustration that way ever sense. So what I tell my clients who want an illustration just give me a clear Photo, It doesn't have to be a professional photograph. Just a clear one. the more detail the better the illustration. Sarah was one of the kindest souls I ever had the privilege of knowing.
I just hope this is a tribute to what an amazing woman she was.

20 years ago this movie catwoman came out. With Halle Berry. I saw an ad for jewelry with this version of cat woman init. So I drew it sadly it got stolen before I could even sign it. I’ve never been able to find that ad again.
The only had copy I had was a photo of the illustration taken from a camera then a screen shot of it. Not the best quality. So after all these years I finally decided to try and draw it from my phone. Here is the Original on the left and The Remake on the right
