Meet Our Featured Fiber Artist & off Track Art Partner: Marilyn Kroeger Smith
After retiring as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at McDaniel College, Marilyn Kroeger Smith turned her lifelong passion for sewing into a beautiful journey in fiber arts. With more than 40 years of sewing experience and over a decade devoted to quilting, Marilyn creates stunning handmade pieces filled with craftsmanship, warmth, and heart.
Her collection includes table runners, placemats, wall hangings, appliquéd pillows, tote bags, backpacks, and more — each thoughtfully designed and finished with exquisite hand-hemming and French-fold binding details. Many of her works feature charming embroidered and appliqué elements that make every piece truly one of a kind.
Beyond her artistic talents, Marilyn also gives back through Project Linus, creating quilts for children in need, and serves as secretary of the Catoctin Furnace Historical Society, helping preserve local history.
We’re proud to showcase Marilyn’s beautiful fiber art at Off Track Art. Stop in to experience her work in person and discover the care, creativity, and tradition stitched into every piece.

More of Marilyn’s work can be found on our website www.offtrackart.com

Flower and Jazz festival today…

As you enjoy the day in downtown Westminster stop by Off Track Art to view the wonderful art of Michael Seipp our May Artist Spotlight.

Michael, a dedicated Baltimore Screen Painter and former Off Track Art partner. Come see a collection of his recent work.
Painted window screens—one of Baltimore’s most cherished living folk art traditions—once filled the windows and doors of city homes, especially before air conditioning. These beautifully painted screens often depicted lush green landscapes, offering a sense of coolness while welcoming in fresh air and preserving privacy.
His work captures a wide range of subjects—from classic red-roofed cityscapes and Baltimore architecture to Eastern Shore scenes, trains, and a variety of birds found in neighborhoods, woodlands, and along the shore. He also welcomes commissions and enjoys collaborating on custom pieces.

May Artist Spotlight Announcement…

Off Track Art is proud to present Michael Seipp, a dedicated Baltimore Screen Painter and former Off Track Art partner, in our newest Artist Spotlight featuring a collection of his recent work.
Painted window screens—one of Baltimore’s most cherished living folk art traditions—once filled the windows and doors of city homes, especially before air conditioning. An expert in its history, Michael has been creating painted screens since 2015 and sharing his knowledge through engaging and popular workshops.
