Good evening from the Studio…I finished two new pieces today and I thought you might like to see them. I’ve been working with papier mache and paper clay the last few weeks but I think Im ready to move on to something else. What will it be? I’m currently thinking of furniture and/or robots. We’ll see. Details about each piece can be found in the comment section in the photos. Please enjoy. Remember, my giveaway contest is still open thru June 1. For details see previous posts on this page. Imagine peace and remember to recycle. It’s good for all of us.

Good evening from the Studio….I finished a new piece today and I thought you might like to see it. This sculpture stands 28 inches tall and is constructed of cardboard, Papier mache and paper clay and stands on a 3/16th rod set in a piece of Douglas Fir painted black. I used an acrylic pouring medium mixed with TriCorn Black paint. Please enjoy. By the way, stay tuned to this page as I have some exciting news coming up in the next few weeks (and perhaps a giveaway). Imagine peace and remember to recycle. It’s good for all of us.

Good evening from the Studio….I finished a new piece today and I thought you might like to see it. This chair is painted in what some might call “a cartoon style” but with a twist. Most cartoon chairs are painted with a wooden seat but I decided to add some graphic upholstery with 2 inch foam and fabric I found at IKEA. Please enjoy. Imagine peace and remember to recycle. It’s good for all of us.

Good evening from the Studio….I finished a new piece today and I thought you might like to see it. The flowers are made with papier mache formed over a child’s play ball coated with multiple layers of Italian crepe paper and finished with paint and bits of wood and wire. Each flower is mounted on flexible wire (used in installation of drop ceilings) set in a painted concrete base. The piece stands 42 inches high and the flexible wire provides for movement of the flowers. Please enjoy. Imagine peace and remember to recycle. It’s good for all of us.

Good evening from the Studio….I’ve been working on a furniture piece but had some time to complete a couple of new pieces. The black and white vases are made with papier mache, paper clay and bits of wood. The leaf stems are made with wire, cardboard, papier mache and are coated with multiple layers of crepe paper. The white flower pots are made with watercolor paper and bits of wood and wire. I cut different sized circles of watercolor paper, soak them with water and then form each petal by folding it around a small ball. Once semi dry, I form the petals around a painted wooden ball and a length of wire. Please enjoy. Imagine peace and remember to recycle. It’s good for all of us.

Good evening from the Studio…..I finished two new pieces today and I thought you might like to see them. The lamp stands about 30 inches high and is constructed with papier mache and paper clay over a wire armature finished with modeling paste and classic black acrylic. The lamp parts are recycled from old lamps and the shade came from Goodwill. The sculpture stands about 20 inches high and is made with bits of cardboard, papier mache, and paper clay completed with Morning MIst acrylic on a frame of 1/8th inch welding rod. The entire piece is set in a 4 x 4 piece of Douglas Fir with multiple coats of black acrylic. Please enjoy. Imagine peace and remember to recycle. It’s good for all of us.

Good evening from the Studio…..I finished a new piece today and I thought you might like to see it. I found this neat sofa table at a little antique shop here in Weston and I liked its shape and size. It is 54 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 29 inches high and finished in Ultra White and Classic Black eggshell. I’ve included a couple of before photos so you can realize the transformation. As a side note, a collection of my furniture pieces is available for review and purchase at Artistry on Main, 27 E Main St. in Buckhannon until the end of March. Stop by and take a look. Please enjoy. Imagine peace and remember to recycle. It’s good for all of us.
