CALL FOR ART!

The Weston Commission for the Arts and the Friends of the Weston Library invite artists to submit artwork for the July Art Exhibit at the Library.

Submit your paintings, drawings, collages, digital art and more, to be considered. (No
freestanding sculpture) The artist must have a “connection” to Weston such as the work
could be a local subject matter, the artist may live or formerly lived in town, or the artist
may work or volunteer in town. No entry fee.

Artwork, in jpeg format, must be submitted by May 15th.

CALL FOR ARTISTS!

The Weston Commission for the Arts and the Friends of the Weston Library are delighted to announce the Weston Connections Art Exhibit to be held during the month of July in the Library’s Community Room.

Talented individuals over the age of 14 are invited to submit paintings, drawings collages, digital art and more. The artist must have a “connection” to Weston such as the work could be a local subject matter, the artist may live or formerly lived in town, or the artist may work or volunteer in town. There is no entry fee and because of space constraints and other activities held in the Community Room during the exhibit, freestanding sculpture is not eligible for consideration.

Artwork, in jpeg format, can be submitted from April 1st through May 15th.

The Weston Commission for the Arts is looking forward to welcoming all ticket holders for our special Valentine’s Day event at Lachat “An Evening in Paris” this Friday. The event is fully subscribed with a long waiting list. If in the event there has been any change in your plans, we’d appreciate if you could let Lachat Farm know timely so they can allocate tix to people on the waiting list. Merci and we look forward to seeing you all this Friday evening!

A special Valentine’s Day FREE event featuring a LIVE cabaret show by French musician-singers!

This special program will include works by Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour, and Carla Bruni, as well as a famed selection from Starmania, the hit musical currently all the rage in France!

Specialty French charcuterie (pre-order), wine and beverages will be offered for a truly authentic, Parisian experience!

Doors Open at 6:00 p.m. inside the Offutt Center. Performance starts at 7pm.

This is a free, general seating event with reservations required in advance. General seating is free, however, food/beverage packages can be purchased should you wish to secure a cocktail table for two- first come, first serve. In addition, a cash bar will be open in our cabaret for the length of the performance.
