Long River Gallery & Gifts showcases some of the finest art in the region, as well as unique crafts, fine furniture, and gifts for all occasions. Located in the well-known artist colony of White River Junction, Vermont (Center for Cartoon Studies, Northern Stage, Briggs Opera House, etc.), Long River is a collective of highly-talented local (and world-class) artists and artisan craftspeople. he past 25 years, Long River has brought the best of art—from fine art to fiber art to collage to watercolor, oils, oil pastels, folk art, photography, and local crafts—from pottery to hand-turned wooden bowls, hand-crafted fine furniture, jewelry, ceramics, timepieces, woodenware, basketry, hand-blown glassware, handbags, hats, scarves, cards and more—to this small community just minutes south of Hanover, New Hampshire and Dartmouth College. The name, “Long River,” derives from the Algonquin name for our great watery neighbor the Connecticut River that flows past and intersects with the White River right here in White River Junction.
