Skene Manor

Skene Manor is located at 8 Potters Terrace in Whitehall, NY, and is open from mid-April to December. The manor offers a tea room, gift shop, and tours.

Whitehall Skene Manor Preservation Inc. is a Not-for-Profit organization. Skene Manor, originally called Mountain Terrace, was built c. 1874 by Judge Joseph Potter. The building, located on Skene Mountain, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Whitehall Skene Manor Preservation, Inc., is dedicated to historically restoring Skene Manor to its former beauty. Restoration is

ongoing and made possible through donations and the efforts of volunteers. Skene Manor is open from mid-April to December, Friday through Sunday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. During these hours, lunch is served in the Tea Room, free tours are given, and the Gift Shop is open. Group tours and special events may be arranged by contacting Skene Manor (this includes events scheduled during or outside the normal hours of operation). Please join us for the unveiling and dedication of a new Skene Manor landmark sign on Sunday, June 14th at 10:30am. The event will take place at the downtown parking lot at the corner of Main Street and Saunders Street. This beautiful new sign created by Creative D SIGNS & Concepts llc will serve as a landmark, give information and directions to downtown visitors that would like to visit Skene Manor. Everyone is invited to attend!

The weather this weekend is looking great for lunch and a tour of Skene Manor! Our soups this weekend are Creamy Turkey and Broccoli and Tomato Soup. The Special Dessert will be Chocolate Cake with chocolate frosting. We are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12-4pm.

Thank you to everyone that visited on our first day of the Season! Skene Manor is open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12-4pm.
