LEEK DINNER MEMORIES – Whitesville Fire Department - SPRING 1989
Does anyone remember "leek cleaning week"? It involved so much hard work digging them up, cleaning them, along with all the meal prep. What was your favorite part of that tradition?

If anyone is longing for a taste of a good leek dinner, the Whitesville Rod and Gun Club is hosting a leek dinner on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The cost is $15.00 per person, and it will run from 3 PM to 6 PM. Both dine-in and take-out options are available.

IHS Mystety photo! UPDATE!
This is the creek near the Maple Avenue/Park Street area.

Kerry West shared this photo with Shallee and also provided the names of the girls in the photo. They are (left to right) Juanita Baker Kelley, Addie Robbins Kellogg, Ruth Robbins Derhammer and Naomi Baker Kear. We believe the photo was taken sometime between 1920 to 1925. One hundred years ago!!
