This upcoming Sunday is the NHP&CC annual meeting, which will be held at the Lyric Hall facility at 827 Whalley Avenue, New Haven, CT.

This is a good chance to meet fellow NHP&CC members.

The business portion of the meeting begins at 2 PM, after which John Cavaliere, the founder of Lyric Hall will speak about the history of the Hall and historic frame preservation.

Meet our juror Nancy Stuart PhD.
Dr. Stuart is an artist, educator and administrator with former leadership roles at the Cleveland Institute of Art, the Rochester Institute of Technology, and the University of Hartford Art School. After retirement in 2024, Dr. Stuart became director of education for Five Points Art Center in northwest Connecticut.

Submissions for our 124th Annual Juried Art Exhibition will begin:

Happy to announce Our 2026 Select Members Exhibit is up on our website, and will be available for viewing all year.

The in person exhibition will be at the Lyme Art Association, Mile Brook Gallery, July 24th through September 11th. Opening Reception:
Saturday, August 1st, 5-7pm.

Artists chosen for this Selected Members Show in 2026 are Ed Lisi, Christopher McLaughlin, David Ottenstein, Greg Shea and Janet Warner.

The Juror for this exhibit was Nathan Lewis, BFA, MFA, an award-winning artist, educator, and professor and chairman of the Department of Art and Design at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. He chose five artists that exhibited exceptional works at our 2025 Members Exhibit.

Looking back at highlights from our Active Members’ Exhibition 2025 ✨
This exhibition showcased an inspiring range of work from our talented active members, celebrating creativity, craftsmanship, and personal vision across a variety of mediums. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and recognize the strength and diversity of work being created.
We’re especially proud to celebrate Heidi Harrington, who was awarded Best in Show for her powerful self-portrait, a piece that stood out for its skill, honesty, and emotional presence.
The exhibition was juried by Nathan Lewis, BFA, MFA, an award-winning artist and educator. Nathan is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Art and Design at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, and his thoughtful perspective and expertise added great depth to the selection process.
Thank you to all of our participating artists for making the 2025 Active Members’ Exhibition such a memorable and inspiring experience.
