Whittier Art Gallery Established 1939, the home of the non-profit Whittier Art Association, offering arts education to all

The Art Association built the gallery in 1939 on donated land. For 75 years we have offered continuous monthly exhibits of the best available art work free to the public. The Whittier Art Gallery is one of the few galleries in California where the land and building is owned by the art association. We are a non-profit 501(C)3 that is supported by membership dues, gallery rental fees, sales of art work and donations.

Today was Take-In day at the Whittier Art Gallery for our annual judged, open themed, & all media Summer Show! Lots of beautiful works and new members! We can’t wait to share this exhibition with the community, the Summer Show opens Wednesday, June 3 and our opening reception is on Saturday, June 6 from 3-5pm. The gallery is open every week Wed-Sun from 1pm to 5pm. Thank you Monica for these beautiful photographs capturing the excitement of these moments!

Artists of all ages stopped by our tables to get creative at Whittier's Founders Day event on May 9. It was a beautiful day! Central Park had a steady stream of families, friends and neighbors checking out the wide variety of booths. We were pleased to be a part of the celebration again this year. Thank you to everyone who helped during the day, and William Ohanesian for the photos!

Don’t forget to come by the gallery tomorrow (May 30) morning at 9 for our annual board meeting. We will enjoy a presentation about kaleidoscopes from our members Steve and Luanne Lelewer, delicious refreshments and socializing with other artists and friends. Hope to see you there!
