"God is in the T.V."

With sloth we sit on our couches and lust over all that glitters on a screen made to feed us and keep us hungry everyday. We have more desire to keep up with the Kardashians than to keep up with being a decent human and really giving a moment of our time to make this place we share a better place. We want for more and more things to fill the void we have in our all too empty lives. We forget by giving how much we receive. We let a screen turn the greed of politics and big business into a religion that we are more deeply involved with than our fellow man and we are wrathful because of it. We're full of gluttony in over consumption and somehow let ourselves believe, that the tithe you give to a multi billion dollar building of faith has more merit than the fraction of a dollar that comes out of your paycheck to give someone needing a hand up. We feed off a box that tells us what to think or feel rather than listen to our own moral compass because we no longer think for ourselves. We over sexualize everything and covet what we see, we let envy corrupt our idea of beauty and in a vain attempt spend our lives trying to reach an unattainable goal of what it means to be beautiful, all the while loathing what we see in the mirror, wretchedness and ugly are on the inside. Only you can change what kind of beautiful you have to offer. Like gluttons we wither away in our recliners with a life half lived, worshipping an idiot box that gives us our instructions for the day. God is in the T.V.
