Rex Allen was one of the last of the singing cowboys, right there with Roy Rogers and Gene Autry, and Willcox, Arizona is exactly where he grew up before Hollywood found him.

He came home for good eventually, and when he passed in 1999, the town buried him under a marker shaped like a boot — his own request, by most accounts. Willcox still throws Rex Allen Days every year, and the small museum downtown has his saddles and his rhinestone suits sitting a few blocks from a working cattle auction that's been running since the ranching days that made this valley what it is.

The Museum had a special visit from Jordan Lou. She considers herself as Rex Allen's biggest fan! Jordan handmade this "Frontier Doctor" suite, like the one Rex wore in his TV series. Each year she makes an original outfit. We'll be seeing more of her next February and it will be exciting to see what her next outfit will be!
