It was a clear, warm July day in 2014 when a flaggerdoot of jackalopes scampered through the minds of several intrepid travelers and, like visitors from other planets and planes of existence, and as the bus came by, decided that one of their flaggerdoot should hop on and enjoy the ride. Thus Jack-a-Roe Jackalope became the spirit guide of prosperity for the Golden Road Gallery, a Grateful Dead, Ps

ychedelic Art, and new Visionary Art-oriented traveling rock and roll exhibit that is set up at music festivals across the United States. The Gallery became The Art Gallery at Gathering of the Vibes for the festival's 15-year existence. She has traveled far and wide, met all sorts of folks, attended music festivals, as well as, indoor shows. An offshoot of The Golden Road Gallery, Jack-a-Roe Jackalope’s Emporium is part Grateful Dead-related, psychedelic, and new visionary art gallery, and part thrift store/consignment shop. The Emporium features artwork and photography by 1st and 2nd generation iconic Grateful Dead artists, along with new visionary artists. It also features tag/yard-ish sale items, new and used, books, jewelry, and odds and ends. We will be expanding the collection to include artisan handcrafted pieces, clothing featuring artwork by many of our artists, and more. Greetings again Followers of Jack-a-Roe Jackalope’s Emporium!
And welcome to our new followers!

As I’ve posted in the past, the last couple of years I’ve faced obstacles and challenges including personal loss, and illness, causing the Emporium to miss the 2024, and majority of 2025 music festival season. Thus I’m working on adding new items to the collections. Including a photo of Jerry's approved, plate-signed, Printers Proof, (also have Artist Proof), Figaro.

I’m proud and grateful to call the artists featured at Jack-a-Roe Jackalope’s Emporium as friends for 20 plus years. This also means I get the artwork directly from them. Not only do they create beautiful gig posters for the Grateful Dead, Dead & Co, Gov't Mule, and String Cheese Incident, among others, often overlooked is the fantasy, nature-based, psychedelic, and other styles of artwork they envision and create.

First, thank you to everyone who surfed into The Emporium page over the last 6 plus months. The last year has been a bit difficult due to the death of my Mother then I had major surgery. When I made my last post in December I thought I'd be more active but due to health issues I wasn't able to post more. Doing much better now thus I think I'll be able to be more active, both here and in terms of updating the website. Please check it out at:

Greetings friends! Hobbit here. Happy all the seasonal holydays to all!

Not quite sure where to start... Jack-a-Roe Jackalope's Emporium has off the grid close to a year. It's been a year of challenges, care-giving, the heart-breaking loss of several family and friends, particularly the death of one of my closest and best friends, my Mother. Three months ago I had ankle replacement surgery keeping me complete off the ankle for 2-1/2 months and from which I’m healing fabulously.

I've been almost completely away from social media this whole time, particularly since the surgery. Constant intense healing pain including nerve pain was way too distracting to function. Thus I've been off social media almost this whole time and particularly since the surgery the constant pain was way too distracting to function. And all this resulted in missing the festival season from May through the rest of the year.

In the coming weeks I'll be updating the website with new bits and pieces, fine tuning the content and design as well. One of the newer pieces available but not yet posted is Jerry Garcia’s “Figaro,” we have an Artist Proof and Printer’s. Both will be posted on the website soon-ish. DM with any questions.

Greetings Friends of Jack-a-Roe Jackalope's Emporium!
Due to the loss of several family and friends since June, and ankle replacement surgery, the Emporium has been a little inactive.

We're healing nicely, thank you, both physically and grief-wise, and we are ready to get back to providing beautiful eye candy for your walls and the walls of family and friends. In the process of adding more art and odds and ends, though remember Jack-a-Roe has no thumbs so. it's on, .me, your Hobbit.

Here's a little taste...
A 1st Limited Edition Printer’s Proof and Artist Proof of “Figaro” by Jerry Garcia. These are from the original print run of 100 after which the plate was destroyed. Lifetime prints, plate signed, in its pure unadulterated state meeting the high standards Jerry Garcia demanded for his published artwork. This artwork was cut from a sheet of press proofs straight off the original printing plate created during Jerry's lifetime, and published by DB Artworks. Jerry personally supervised and approved the final proofs before he would allow the printing. Each image includes the Certification of Authenticity from DB Artworks.
