Rerun!
The project continues!
The search is still on for more information to prove the service of these Revolutionary War veterans and patriots.
There are still graveyards yet to find. The list is up to date as of today.
While some are buried in beautiful cemeteries, large and small, more were buried in small family cemeteries in what was a beautiful spot back on the farm somewhere. I count myself lucky when a gracious property owner can guide me to these, proud to be the guardian of heroes.
Drumroll, please. . . Here is an up-to-date -- as of December 7th 2025-- link to THE LIST of Revolutionary War veterans (142, so far) with a proven link to Clermont County.
This is a link to The Clermont County Genealogical Society's VIRTUAL CEMETERY. https://ccgsoh.org/cemeteryRecords.php?lv=R&cid=214
The Clermont County Historical Society and the Clermont County Genealogical Society have spent the last year compiling lists of names of possible veterans, and then looking for evidence of their service.
From the Clermont County Genealogical Society, "This is a virtual memorial to all patriots who lived in Clermont County. This includes individuals who gave military, civil or patriotic service to render aid in the American Revolutionโs cause. We have only listed those for whom we could find primary information as proof of this service. Sources include pension affidavits, land grants, muster rolls, etc.
If their grave can be located in Clermont County, we will add photos and GPS locations of their gravesites."
This does not mark the end of our efforts. We may never get to the point where we can slam the book shut and say, "OK, that's everybody." We are still looking.
And I am still looking for these men's graves -- an additional project.
