Contemporary Art Gallery Online is proud to announce its 11th Annual “ALL Portrait / Figurative” Online Art Competition for 2026.

Contemporary Art Gallery Online encourages entries from all 2D and 3D artists regardless of their experience and/or education in the art field or where they may reside. This is an international competition, and everyone is encouraged to participate. A group exhibition of all entrants will be held online at the Contemporary Art Gallery Online from June 5, 2026 to January 5, 2027.
Artists should submit their best representational and non-representational art related to the "Figurative / Portrait" theme. The “Figurative / Portrait” theme is considered to be any art which depicts either an actual rendering of a person's face or figure or the depiction of a to-be figure, form, and/or face. Art Exhibition and Competition Opens: May 01, 2026 and deadline for receiving entries is May 31, 2026.
This competition will be judged within three categories: Paintings/Drawings, Photography/Digital Art, Mixed Media, and 3 Dimensional Work. Computer-enhanced or AI-created art must be disclosed and will not be eligible for the Paintings/Drawing category. Awards will be given to the top 6 to 8 works selected in each category (depending on the number of submissions), including Best in Show, Judges’ Choice, and Gallery Choice. Additional awards will also be presented, depending on the number and the quality of all submissions received. Award-winning artists will be included in a group show both online and in the Ramsey Art Gallery located in the Historic District of Hollins Market, located in Baltimore, Maryland.
Entering the ALL-Portrait/Figurative Art Competition and Exhibition offers artists a meaningful opportunity to showcase their skill in capturing the essence of the human form and spirit. This competition celebrates both technical mastery and emotional depth, highlighting the power of portraiture and figurative art to tell stories, evoke empathy, and reveal the beauty of individuality. By participating, artists can gain recognition for their work, connect with other talented creators, and engage with an audience that values expressive realism and creative interpretation alike. It’s a chance to elevate your artistic presence while contributing to a rich tradition that continues to define and expand the language of visual art.
