HONK 🚗 if you 💙 history! Our outdoor sign letting you know the season kicks off April 1st with public touring or research hours 1:00-4:30pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Saturdays will be by appointment only as we launch our new “Second Saturdays” program soon.

Our Annual Meeting & Open House is Sat. March 28th if you’d like a sneak peek of our newest exhibit — public and members are all invited! 12:00-2:00pm. Hope you’ll stop by 👋 🏡

UPDATE: We are pleased to share the the Deserted Camp historical marker arrived safety back to Clinton County from Sewah Studios, Inc and will be reinstalled at the marker site sometime this summer in honor of !

The wait is almost over... ⌛ 🕰
The History Center will reopen for the 2026 season - with brand new America250 exhibits and more - on Wednesday, April 1st. Our Annual Meeting will take place on March 28th as a kickoff to the exciting new season!

SPECIAL NOTE: The Center will be trying something NEW with special "Second Saturday" programs on the second Saturday of each month. We will no longer be open every Saturday for general admission, tours, or research but welcome prescheduled appointments in advance for those who need Saturday access. Mark your calendars for Sat. April 11th for our first ever "Second Saturday" on Historical Markers in Clinton County!

In honor of America's 250th, we are celebrating the spirit of rural America on the farms of Ohio Farm Bureau members. Whether the flag is waving from a tractor, hanging on the barn, or flying on a flagpole, share your favorite photos or videos of the American flag on your farm for a chance to be featured on our social media channels in 2026. Join Jenna Kish OGS Archivist for an in-depth look at the papers, letters, photographs, and other memorabilia from Ross E. Holaday, Ohio representative and US Consul to Cuba and Manchester, England, and his wife Harriett Curl Holaday. The presentation will include passenger lists, dinner menus, photographs, letters, and invitations from the Holadays’ time abroad in foreign service, as well as a deep dive into the family’s roots in Clinton County, Ohio, with readings from family letters and a display of their family photographs. This is an in-person program at the OGS Samuel D Isaly Library.
