We’re so grateful that the NC Secretary of Commerce and other state officials visited recently to see what the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park and other economic drivers have done for Downtown Wilson. The impact of our grassroots project continues to be evident in our community and beyond, and we were proud to share that with these distinguished vistors.

A portion of the Whirligig Park will be closed this afternoon & evening for the Wilson Warbirds fireworks show.

Due to the set-up location of this evenings show, a good portion of the Whirligig Park will be closed as it is in the firework fall out zone.

Outside of the zone, viewers can enjoy from under the Henry Walston Pavilion or in the park on the corner of Goldsboro & South streets.

The Whirligig Park will be open for the Wilson Farmers & Artisan Market tomorrow morning.
