During this holiday season, we thought it would be important to remember what the season is all about. The museum recently made a large donation to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, which specializes in pediatric care. In exchange, the Shriners from the Kosciusko County, IN area donated this Bonanza Mini Bike along with the outfits. These mini bikes were used in parades to raise awareness and funds for the organization. Mike Farrand started the company, Custom Kart Industries, in 1958 out of central California. The company went from making backyard fun karts to championship winning race karts. The company was later named, Bonanza. In 1962, they introduced their line of mini bikes, which became very successful through the 60s to early 70s era. Here’s our Randy Kersting and Shriner Gene pictured together. A true testament that shows what Christmas should always be about: giving back ❤️
