The Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum will be closed today, February 19th, to photograph examples of Civil War period graffiti for an ongoing project with George Mason University. Once finished, detailed photos of the graffiti pieces will be digitalized and made accessible to the public for generations to come!

Join us at the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum TOMORROW, December 21st, to learn how soldiers in the American Civil War celebrated the holidays in the Shenandoah Valley!

The program will be led by Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Ranger Michael Gionfriddo on December 21st at noon. The program is included with the days admissions to the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum, members of the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District will have their admissions waved!

If you were not able to attend today, another program will be held next Saturday, December 21st, at noon in the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum. We have the amazing opportunity to repair and conserve three flags and then work with our exhibit design team to mount and hang each of them in our museum exhibits for the world to see.
