Holly Rood has been through a lot in 200 years. Soon we will have the opportunity to share her past with Cindy Banks current Leadership class! So what happened on this day in the past? The Battle of Fort Sumter which led to the Civil War or as we were taught to call it " The War Between The States". This war divided families, killed many of our men and left a country struggling to rebuild. Caroline Wheeler, owner of Holly Rood had family members on both sides of this conflict.
