Please join the Navajo Nation Museum in Window Rock, AZ, on Monday, June 1, 2026, for Treaty Day programming to commemorate the 158th anniversary of the signing of the Navajo Treaty of 1868.

Events will take place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM:

- 11:00 AM: Sunny Dooley, Diné Hózhóójii Hané Yaa Halne'é, Folklorist, Filmmaker, Writer & Poet
- 12:00 PM: Lunch featuring Free traditional food and a live entertainment by: Talibah Begay
- 1:00 PM: Jennifer Denetdale, PhD, Professor of American Studies
- 2:00 PM: Guest Presenter (TBA)

The Navajo Treaty of 1868 (Peace Commission/Tappan Copy) will be on display during the following hours:

- Monday, June 1, 2026: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Tuesday – Friday, June 2 – 5, 2026: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Please join us for the Daan/Spring Arts Market this Friday, May 8, 2026 from 10:00AM to 6:00PM at the Navajo Nation Museum - Window Rock, AZ.

Food Vendors Rooster’s Grill and Bailee’s Grill will be on-site throughout the day. Additionally, Margaret Wood will host a Gallery Talk & Tour of the “Rain God Mesa: The Heart of Monument Valley” exhibit at 10:00AM and 2:00PM.

She Cried That Day is the story of a sister’s love and the spirit, strength and will of Indigenous Women refusing to let their loved ones remain invisible in the eyes of the justice system.
