Welcome to the official first post of the Carlock House Museum. History doesn't just live in books—it lives in the wood, the glass, and the stories of the homes that built this town.

While many know the Oaklea Mansion as our town’s historical host, the Carlock House is its historical soul. Built in the same dawn of the 20th century, this home represents the vision of Marcus DeWitt Carlock and the pioneers who turned a railroad stop into a Texas treasure.
