The Winterville Museum will be open today from 3:00pm to 5:00pm for Back in Time Christmas featuring our 1940s Christmas room, our 1901 kitchen, and our working 1950s model trains. Admission is free along with hot cider and cookies.

Join us for BACK IN TIME CHRISTMAS at the Winterville Museum. Visit our 1940s Christmas room, our 1901 kitchen, our working vintage 1950s model train display, and grab some refreshments. Open today, Dec 13 immediately after the parade to 5pm, and tomorrow, Sunday, Dec 14 from 3pm to 5pm. Admission is free.

It’s Show & Tell time at the Winterville Depot! If you have an antique item that you would like to share with our organization members or the community, please attend this event on Sunday, July 27 from 3-5 p.m.. We invite anyone to bring their item to share its story with attendees – its origin, its history, and its purpose. A demonstration of its use would be welcomed.

This will be an engaging and informal event meant to share fun facts with others and to learn from others. It is not intended to be an appraisal event to find out what the items are worth...instead, it is to be an educational and sharing event that is meant to be fun and informative. Think “Antiques Road Show” without the appraisal component.

So, dig out your favorite item or items and bring along its history, and join us for a fun afternoon of sharing, learning, and hopefully some laughing, too!

Do you know what time it is? It’s ice cream time! Come to visit the Winterville Museum on this Sunday, June 8 and enjoy some homemade ice cream. Flavors will include peach, strawberry, and butter pecan...and maybe another surprise flavor. We will be there between 3 and 5 p.m. This has become a popular annual event, so please join us at 2543 Church Street in Winterville.

Celebrate Black History Month with Us
Sunday, February 23 – 3:00-5:00 pm
Hosted by the Winterville Charter School, 4160 Bayswater Road, Winterville, NC

Come and learn fascinating facts such as:

1. The Colored School started in 1900 on Mt. Shiloh Church’s campus.
2. The three-room school building was relocated (pulled by horses) to the east side of the railroad tracks.
3. The school was later named in honor of William Henry Robinson.
4. One of the main lessons will be about Willie Grimes, Winterville native, who was shot and killed on NC A&T College campus in 1969. It remains Greensboro’s oldest unsolved homicide. Nearly 2, 000 attended his funeral at W. H. Robinson Union School.

There will be a history lesson, student performances, an African attire fashion show, slideshows, comedy, awards, a variety of prizes, and refreshments.

Please join us and bring your children for a fun and informative afternoon.
