Real People Exhibition 2021 @ OCHAC

07/16/2021

Real People will be on display July 1st through August 15th. The Arts Center hours are Thursday - Sunday, 11am - 5pm.

Real People, an international juried fine art exhibition celebrating the arts through faces and figures, features more than 80 works from across the media spectrum: paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, block prints, and more.
Real People is observing its 21st year, making its debut in 2000 at the Old Courthouse Arts Center in Woodstock, Illinois, and has become a much-anticipated area event.

We are excited to announce that visual artist, Tyanna Buie, will be this year's Real People judge. A Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI native, Tyanna Buie received her BA from Western Illinois University, and her MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Buie has attended Artists-In-Residency programs, such as the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans, LA, the Women’s Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY and the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT, as well as maintaining a connection to the community by hosting printmaking workshops and demonstrations, while participating in Healthy Neighborhood Initiatives through the production of public art created for underserved neighborhoods and communities in Milwaukee, and Madison, WI.
