Another week, another Psalm joins the family. This one I'm calling: "Meditation - Psalm 23". I used an 18x24 stretched canvas with acrylic paint, Posca pen, collage, and gold chrome pen. This painting invites the viewer to be one of the sheep following the Shepherd. The Shepherd takes the sheep to "dwell in the house of the LORD forever". Please meditate for a while and leave your thoughts and observations. Reflect on your own journey with the Shepherd.

Like "Meditation - Psalm 8" this companion piece, "Meditation - Psalm 1" is not an illustration of the Psalm but rather a personal meditation on the Psalm. It is filled with symbolism and personal feeling. I encourage you to read the Psalm while looking at the painting and if you have a mind to do so, write down some of your thoughts. I would love to read them.

Meditation - Psalm 8 reflects on the wonder of our place within God's creation. The psalmist questions it himself asking, "What is man that You are mindful of him?" Take a moment to stop and hear the answer for yourself. You, too, are invited into praise, "O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!" Psalm 8:1

I have started a series of miniature paintings (2.5x3.5), the size of a walet photo. These paintings are original artwork and using the genre ACEO (Art Cards Editions and Original). The cards are meant to be sold and will soon be available on Ebay. My current series is called "Icons of Spring". I will be adding to this post as I finish one of these cards.

Macrame bag suitable to use as a tablet sleeve. It's approximately an 11x11x1.5 inch bag made of contrasting navy and cream colored 100% cotton cord. The handle is built into the bag. The flap features a scalloped edge and a four row woven section. A whimsical tassel adds a playful element to the piece. If you are interested in purchasing this bag, please contact me by way of Facebook messanger. Thanks.

This is #4 in my waterbird series. My wife and I lived in southern Colorado for seven wonderful years where the Sandhill Cranes made their yearly visit to the San Luis Valley. I included several references to their yearly home including the great Sandhill Crane, aspen leaves, those large hay bales, the Colorado mountains, the irrigation circles, the wheels of the irrigators, and the blood red sunshine which gives the Sangre de Christo (Blood of Christ) mountain range their name. Tell me what you think of this 12 x 12 stretched canvas collage and mixed media piece.
