Riverfront Art Gallery

Riverfront Art Gallery Riverfront Art Gallery exhibits contemporary, nationally, and internationally acclaimed artwork. It is located on the 4th floor of the Riverfront Library.

The mission of the Riverfront Art Gallery is to present a diverse and balanced schedule of exhibits of high-caliber, progressive artwork, and related programs not frequently seen in Yonkers and surrounding communities. The exhibit schedule is managed by a committee appointed by the library director. Haifa Bint-Kadi is the curator for the gallery and head of this committee. Applications for exhibit

s may be sent in digital form to [email protected] . Application packages may be addressed to:
Gallery Committee, Riverfront Library, One Larkin Center, Yonkers NY 10701. Applications should include:
• Artist’s statement on the work to be presented
• Artist’s C.V.
• Up to three references from other galleries and/or peer artists.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS 📢🎨

Across Imaginary Boundaries: Cultures from the Caribbean share a history rooted in colonization and oppression across geographies. What does it mean to explore identity and place within the foregrounding of this cultural backdrop and in the realm of contemporary art? We seek to explore a diverse range of artistic production rooted in diasporic identity across the Caribbean while celebrating new modes of thinking about shifting identities within the bounty and beauty of Caribbean cultures. We seek art that brings together people from these unique regions of the Caribbean diaspora that creates new narratives based in adaption and the multitudes of experiences, art that explores representation, the recovery of ancestral knowledge and connections to nature.
