Speakeasy
As a graphic designer I’m fond of printed ephemera and typography. Over the years, while gathering with my people, I saved printed ephemera, in this case, labels from beer and spirits. This collection is a way to collect and capture core memories.
This piece speaks to the spirit of friendship, gathering, fellowship, and collection. Using my vast array of labels, I cut and pasted over typography to release memories into the world. The process of cutting and pasting is free-flowing and immediate, but at the same time, visually coherent and intentional. The intent is to bring back collective memories of nostalgic days gone by.
I’m open to commissions. DM me.
