For more local history, the History of the Town of York, written by Mary Root, is available at the York Town Hall, $20! Great pictures and very informative!

This afternoon's is in the northern end of the County at the Fowlerville Hotel. The hotel, located at the southwest corner of Fowlerville and River Road in the York hamlet of Fowlerville, still stands today as a private residence. According to maps, it was run by a number of proprietors including Charles Busker and Alex McHardy going back to at least the 1850s.
