Did you jump the fence and steal because we weren't open yesterday, Sunday March 29th? Did our cameras pick up everything? Will you return what your filthy hands stole before we call the cops?

If you know who these people are, please contact them and/or the museum before we get the authorities involved.

Unfortunately we will not have helicopter rides this weekend. We were notified the helicopter is having maintenance issues.

Shout out to Sturtevant Auto for dropping off the cars for our event this weekend!

We've added a little treat to our event next weekend!

We will have our Sherman Tank driving around in additon to the rest of the activities. Now we just need the rain to stay away!

The Sherman is an M4A3 powered by the Ford GAA engine making 500hp.

Can we keep it?

A truck driver and veteran of the USMC visited recently on his way to deliver a freshly overhauled Stryker!

He was also gracious enough to give us the first Space Force item in the Museum's collection!

2nd trip back from Chanute, 9 years ago. This time with the A-7D wing center section.

Legal dimensions over the road are 8'6" Wide and 13' 6" Tall. The company we used had an annual permit up to 12' wide. So by tipping the wing, we got the dimensions to size that allowed us to go down the interstate system with no special routing.

Side note, we originally built the wooden stands to transport the A-10 wing a couple years prior. They were slightly modified on site for the A-7.

Recovering our A-7D Corsair II from the now closed Chanute Air Museum, 9 years ago Today.

Due to the size of center wing section, we built cradles to hold it at approximately a 45 degree angle to make it a legal sized load for the trip home.

Sherwin-Williams send more paint!

This Centurion was one of 12 imported from Australia and mocked-up as a M1 Abarms for the 1996 Film "Courage Under Fire".

Until yesterday it has been sporting a promotional blue and orange livery.

Thanks to some volunteer help, it is (mostly) back to tan.

We are looking for ideas to finish the paint job. Post your favorite Abarms picture below and you may see this tank painted to match!

The museum will be closed this Saturday June 7th for a private event, we will reopen on Sunday June 8th.
