The exhibition at Hotel Santo was open from Wednesday morning until Friday, from 7:00am to 4:00pm, and was open to the public. The exhibition welcomed the communities of Hoghabour, Port Olry, and Sara, as well as people from many other villages across Santo, to reconnect with history through old photographs from 1933. It was a powerful and emotional experience for many families to see the faces of their ancestors and share stories connected to the images. The exhibition created a special space for remembering, learning, and celebrating cultural heritage together.

On Friday 8/05/2026, we officially opened the Hoghabour Exhibition of historic photographs from 1933 for the communities of Hoghabour, Portolry, and Sara. It was a deeply emotional and meaningful occasion, as many people were grateful and moved to see photographs of their ancestors for the very first time. Families, elders, and young people gathered together to reflect on the stories and memories captured in the photographs, reminding us of the importance of preserving our history, identity, and kastom for future generations. These photographs are not only images from the past, but powerful connections between generations that continue to keep our cultural heritage alive. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this special event.
