My. Washington in New Hampshire got 6 inches of snow yesterday, May 30!! That’s a little late even for the mountain.

I hadn’t shared “West Quoddy Winter” in a while, but this weather made it feel like a good time to bring it back.

Sometimes a winter scene still fits, even when the calendar says spring.

In my defense, my mother’s stand is not very wide. However, this small change makes a big difference. It keeps my pencils close, but calms the chaos.

“Roadside Lupine, No. 1” is now a bookmark!

I enjoy seeing a drawing becoming something people can actually use.

I had this in mind once I started the drawing and determined the dimensions. A quiet piece of color to tuck into a favorite book or journal.
