The exhibition là où les jours brings together three artists from different
linguistic regions of Switzerland—Leolie Greet, Marta Margnetti, and Alan
Schmalz—and Ana Navas, an artist originally from Ecuador who now lives in
the Netherlands.
By bringing their respective practices into dialogue, they explore the spaces
we inhabit every day, places of cohabitation and shared routines, populated
by everyday objects and ordinary stories.
là où les jours is structured like a shared or open space, where works rub
shoulders, brush against each other, and engage in dialogue. The four artists
share a strong connection to materiality and “making”; there are numerous
references to handcrafting, assembly, and transformation. The human body is
present in touches, suggested or absent but always perceptible. Thus, the
collective experience is recounted through objects and entities that become
carriers of memory, presence, and stories.
Visiting a home means both feeling integrated and participating in a form of intrusion. Là où les jours plays on this tension and contradictory dynamic.
