Northern Michigan University's Museum of Zoology is home to several diverse collections consisting of donations and active collecting efforts located throughout the USA. We house over 2,000 specimens and are working on growing the collection as much as possible. Our specimen's come from donations and trapping trips from throughout the year, much of which include current students at NMU. We have helped in numerous research projects, as well as events in our area.

A great explanation to why collections are so important, both now and in the future!
