I was visiting and hanging art for a friend this morning, and stumbled upon some of my older work. We placed this collection she hand picked in her High School daughter’s room. What a happy place to return to after a long day in uniform.

Have a wonderful weekend!

More favs from Latitudes, including some of my favourite personalities. I suspect it is one of the best feelings to see someone excel and get recognised for it.

A few years ago I had the great pleasure of working with the Nieuwe Sion team to place, curate and enhance their existing art collection. This weekend was the first time I could stay at this magnificent homestead, with citrus trees heaving with fruit. Learning more about the farm I found it fascinating that their crops that bear fruit at different times of the year, enabling something fresh on the table throughout the year (three colours of kiwis, grapes, citrus, apples). Even the cottages are named after their conveniently beautifully named grape cultivars - Joy, Peace & Celebration. There is something so special, bringing childlike joy, to pick fruit from a tree, and eating it farm fresh with wet soil under your soles.

This Jana Wasserman was placed in the dining room, picking up on the colours of their fruit crops, acting as a warm welcome to this magnificent place.

Thank you for the most magnificent weekend that fed the soul

A few weeks ago I had the great pleasure of popping by Jana Wasserman’s beautiful downtown studio, with views and vibes to die for. During this visit I saw the most amazing work which I am thrilled to share with you - all available online now.

A brief break from normal programming to celebrate the extraordinary - it felt like I was watching an artwork unfold. This weekend surrounded by the koue Bokkeveld mountains we helped lift this beauty into the air, with a full moon on watch. The colours, sheer scale and the absolute disbelief of a helium powered balloon cruising over orchards, made me want to share this beauty with you. A magical experience imprinted on me for life. Here’s to the extraordinary.

This must be my favourite little loo under the sun. It features all my favourite colours, bits and pieces from market place finds to treasured keepsakes. I love bathrooms that feature stacks of art and beauty that turns this boring little room into something unexpectedly special.

Wishing you (another!!) wonderful long weekend x
