Thank you to everyone who attended last night’s opening and engaged so meaningfully with our new exhibitions!

The biggest congratulations goes to our featured artists, we are honoured to host their work across our galleries:

Join us this evening for the opening of Where we were wo(r)n a collaborative show by Alka Dass Alka Dass , thato makatu thato makatu and Zenaéca Singh Zenaéca Singh

Where we were wo(r)n explores memory, erosion, and inherited histories through found objects and craft processes. Playing on “worn” and “won” (past-tense verb for achieving victory), the exhibition echoes the quiet fatigue of lineage, where displacement, domestic labor, and generational endurance are held in the seams of cloth and kin.

The Art of Existing explores themes of identity, existence, and community through a deeply personal and vibrant visual language.

Through a celebration of colour, line and form, The Art of Existing pays homage to the power of community and the joy of belonging - inviting viewers to contemplate their own emotional dualities and the way we navigate solitude and connection.

Kite Diagrams by Jonah Sack Jonah Sack

The kites in Sack’s exhibition are too heavy to fly, they remain suspended, held precisely between floating and falling. Complementing these pieces are material fragments — paper offcuts, floor rubbings, and scribbled geometric drawings.

Sack’s upcoming solo exhibition explores the tension between the weight of materials and the ethereal nature of structure, mapping intangible forces in pigment, paper, plastic, and wood.

Join us on Thursday as we celebrate the opening of Paivapo…(There once was…) by Pyda Nyariri Pyda

Paivapo, a Shona invocation meaning “There once was...”serves as the threshold for this exhibition. It opens a portal into a world where language is a sentient, migrating force embodied by Pidgin, a character representing both the phantom and physical reality of hybrid tongues.

Nyariri’s upcoming solo exhibition tells the story of how we speak when our mother tongues are taken, and how we dream in the languages we invent to survive.

We are pleased to invite applications for a paid, part-time Gallery Assistant Internship. Interns will provide essential support to the gallery’s operations, focusing on administrative and reception duties while gaining valuable experience in the art world.

Applicants must be available for a scheduled interview between 29 June and 7 July 2026, and ready to begin the internship on Monday, 13 July 2026.
