What stays with you long after you’ve left an exhibition?
For many visitors, ‘We Proceed in the Footsteps of the Sunlight’ by Zohra Opoku is an experience that invites reflection, connection and a deeper consideration of identity, memory, ancestry, and belonging.
Join us for a one-day symposium and book launch exploring Opoku’s artistic practice in the context of her career survey exhibition, on view until 4 October 2026.
Through a series of panel discussions and critical reflections, the programme will unpack the themes that shape her work across Ghana, Germany and the wider African diaspora. The evening will also mark the launch of the exhibition monograph featuring contributions from curators, writers and cultural practitioners who helped shape the exhibition and its dialogue.
