Long March to Freedom The Long March to Freedom is a ground breaking public attraction opening to the public in Cape Town at Century City on 15 October 2019.

The Long March to Freedom, a monumental procession of 100 life-size bronze statues and the largest exhibition of its kind anywhere in the world, opens to the public at Century City, Cape Town, on 15 November 2019. It represents the epic journey to freedom walked by iconic leaders through the lives of 100 individuals vividly created as life-size bronze statues. From the chiefs who led the Wars of R

esistance in the 17th century to the activists, intellectuals and revolutionaries who finally brought freedom to the nation in 1994. The bronzes offer the visitor a unique and memorable experience, and a feeling that we as South Africans truly owe these heroes much appreciation.

Youth Month at Long March to Freedom!

Throughout June, all learners aged 6–18 years visit Long March to Freedom for FREE when accompanied by a paying adult. Bring your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or school groups and explore the inspiring stories of South Africa’s heroes and heroines through our unique procession of 100 life-size bronze statues.
