South African Museums Association Eastern Cape Welcome to the Eastern Cape branch of the South African Museums Association (SAMA EC). Each province has a SAMA branch.

SAMA is the professional association for people working at all the museums, galleries and other heritage institutions in South Africa. The South African Museums Association (SAMA) is a professional association for people who work in the fields of natural and cultural heritage, at museums, galleries, universities and all other institutions and organisations that have an interest in the heritage of

South Africa. Each province of South Africa has its own branch of SAMA. The Eastern Cape branch is known as SAMA EC. SAMA EC's headquarters is the East London Museum in, well, East London and we have members from around the province. An annual conference is held at a museum in the province.
