Walking in the Spirit of Creation
I think the name of this exhibition fits so beautifully.
Anton Smit's work has always been very much about humanity and spirituality. His sculptures explore things like faith, love, vulnerability, repentance and hope, and his relationship with God is a very important part of his work.
And then you have Creation Wines.
The land. The fynbos. The vineyards. The mountains. The care they put into the soil and into looking after the land for generations to come.
It just fits.
Anton once said:
“My work is all about Creation, God is my inspiration, nature is His Creation, and it is obvious that Man is the pinnacle of God's Creation.”
Walking around Creation and seeing these sculptures in this setting, I think you understand that quote a little better.
The exhibition is here until July 2027.

Another sculpture has found its home.

This week we installed Whirlwind by Anton Smit at a beautiful private residence in Tamboerskloof.

One of the most rewarding parts of the journey is seeing a work leave the studio and become part of someone's everyday environment. Surrounded by the changing light, landscape and seasons, the sculpture begins a new conversation with its setting and the people who live there.

Thank you to our client for entrusting us with this special placement. We wish them many years of enjoyment with Whirlwind.
