The C P Nel Museum would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the Mayor's Office Executive Mayor Johan Allers - Greater Oudtshoorn Municipality and the Oudtshoorn Tourism - South Africa for providing our Tourism Ambassadors with exclusive exposure to the rich heritage sites in and around our beautiful town.
A huge thank you to the following places which we visited who accomodated us for the day and had such good hospitality and had the friendliest staff members on site. Cango Ostrich Farm , Cango Caves , Cango Wildlife Ranch and Wilgewandel Holiday Farm.
Special thank you to Wilgewandel Holiday Farm for the fun activities we did such as the camel riding, zip line and animal feeding plus the scrumptious lunch. We also appreciate the complimentary drinks we received from Cango Ostrich Farm.

𝗧𝗼𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗲-𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗢𝘂𝗱𝘁𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗲
As deel van die uitvoerende burgemeester, raadsheer Johan Allers, se 𝘌𝘬 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘖𝘰𝘬 -projek, het sy persoonlike assistent, Demorian Appolis, in samewerking met Oudtshoorn- en De Rust Toerisme, ’n toerisme-uitstappie vir tien nuwe EPWP-toerisme-ambasadeurs gereël.
Die werkers is onlangs by die CP Nel Museum en Dorpshuis aangestel. Die doel van die uitstappie was om aan hulle ’n eerstehandse ervaring van Oudtshoorn se toerisme-omgewing te gee.
Die groep het op Maandag, 20 Oktober 2025 verskeie besienswaardighede besoek, waaronder die Kango Grotte, Cango Wildlife Ranch, Kango Volstruisplaas en Wilgewandel Vakansieplaas.
Demorian, ’n geregistreerde toergids, sal die toerisme-ambasadeurs oor ’n tydperk van vier weke saam met die Toerismeburo monitor en bystaan met opleiding, leiding en praktiese ondersteuning.

As part of Executive Mayor Alderman Johan Allers’s 𝘐 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘛𝘰𝘰 project, his personal assistant, Demorian Appolis, in collaboration with Oudtshoorn and De Rust Tourism, organised a tourism outing for ten newly appointed EPWP tourism ambassadors.
The workers were recently placed at the CP Nel Museum and Dorpshuis. The purpose of the outing was to provide them with a first-hand experience of Oudtshoorn’s diverse tourism environment.
On Monday, 20 October 2025, the group visited several of the town’s most popular attractions, including the Cango Caves, Cango Wildlife Ranch, Klein Karoo Ostrich Farm, and Wilgewandel Holiday Farm.
Demorian, a registered tour guide, will continue to mentor and support the ambassadors over a four-week period, in collaboration with the Tourism Bureau, offering training, guidance, and practical assistance.
