As part of the bicentenary of President SJP Kruger hosted by DITSONG: Kruger Museum a guided tour of Church Square was conducted by specialist National Guide Mr Johan van Wyk. An informative tour of the old Raadsaal, as well as the historic offices of the former Statesman, was attended by excited visitors. The buildings around Church Square formed part of the itinerary. Spectacular views from the rooftop of the Rentbell Tower building were admired to conclude the tour.

Afterwards, invited guests attended the inauguration of the historic post box marking the reinstatement of the postal services from DITSONG: Kruger Museum. Visitors to the museum can select from a range of postcards, including a new series of postcards with printed collages of Paul Kruger from the collection of the DITSONG: National Museum of Cultural History.

The unveiling of the post box was observed while Mr Solly Gaybba - Head of Operations, and Mrs Dina Lume - Managing Director: Specialised Services and Doxec cut the ribbon.

A special canceller was designed for this occasion. People wrote messages on postcards and stamped them with the canceller

ake a step back into time to experience the grandeur of Zwartkoppies Hall. Teams of 3-5 persons enter into a race against time to unravel riddles, puzzles and hidden clues in different rooms of the Sammy Marks Museum. A maximum of 5 teams can enter the competition. The winning team will play against other winning teams at the grand finale at DITSONG: National Museum of Natural History. This is not a jump scare maze but a paranormal puzzle experience. Someone may be watching you.

This exciting new programme is also perfect for teambuilding sessions.

Light refreshments and juice will be served afterwards.

The ticket price is sold as a package to encourage groups to register as it is a team-building game (R300 per person, but unfortunately the game requires a team to participate).

Three date options are available: 25 October, 22 November and 6 December.
