LEGENDS OF CUYLER MANOR MUSEUM

Meet Buyisile Stokwe with his favourite "Pal" Bessie. Mr. Buyisile Stokwe started in 2007, taking the role of animal husbandry. A role of training, feeding and caring for all our resident animals.

Bessie joined our team in 2020 (during Covit 19 time) at 4 months. Over 6 years "She" has interacted with thousands of scholars and general public, learning about her behaviour and amused buy hand feeding this flightless bird.

BAGOTYWA BEBATHSA Elethu Educare Centre of KwaLanga township participated in a museum programme focused on education and entertainment. Activities included a historical account of General Cuyler and an opportunity to engage with animals through touch and feed sessions. 🎉👍💕🎊😊👏

Busy week.

Education team had a busy week with schools from NMB.

1. Vezubuhle primary school (Grade R-3)

Edu-tainment activities were of:

*Visiting the museum(Cuyler Manor Museum)
*Candle making demonstration
*Ginger beer and cookies demonstration
*Touch and feed of animals
*Cow dung smearing

Grade 4 - 6 Visited the Drostdy museum

Formal programmes of natural science and technology, Social science

* Water
* National symbols and emblems of South Africa
* Koi and San

2. Bonzai primary school (Grade 4 - 7)

Activities of the day: Edu-tainment

* Guided tour
*Touch and feed
*Ginger beer demonstration
*Cow dung smearing
*Roasted bread making and enjoyment

Exploring, learning and having fun.

Learners from Vezubuhle primary school visited our Cuyler Manor Museum.
Learners took part in guided tour of Cuyler house /Museum, visited our resident animals for "touch and feed activity" followed by Candle making demonstration.
