The news of the establishment of our museum is spreading.

Bela-Bela Heritage is proud to announce that a museum will soon be a reality in our wonderful town. Louis Cilliers, the principal of Hoërskool Warmbad has graciously set a space asside within the schoolgrounds where we, as Bela-Bela Heritage will establish a small private museum.

This will be a small space, but sufficient for a start. The potential for expanding is a definite possibility.

The greatest advantage is the youth that will have access to the museum and getting them involved.

We will start with the following catagories -
- Bushmen and Iron Age
- Colonial Era and Anglo-Boer War
- The Evolution of Everyday Objects
- The History of Warmbaths/Bela-Bela
- Italian POWs and the Native Military Corps

Yesterday (23 April) contractors took measurements for the building of a wall to seal of the space. The quotation for the building of this wall is now awaited so we can get the funds to start the project.

If all goes well the wall should be completed by the middle of June and the laying out and planning of the museum space can commence.

Areas of assistance for the project will be for -
- Exhibition cabinets and walling
- Lighting
- Printing of posters and photographs
- A security gate for the museum
