An evening of colours, friendship and celebration as the art fraternity came together to congratulate and celebrate Dr. Anjini Prakash Laitu — the “Colourman of Dubai” — on his latest solo exhibition, “MASULEH – Village by Noor”, at Noor Royal Collection.
The exhibition takes us to Masuleh, the picturesque historic village in Iran, beautifully reimagined through Laitu’s signature language of vibrant colours, expressive forms and bold black lines. The village’s distinctive architecture and landscape come alive on his canvases, making the exhibition not just a collection of paintings, but a colourful journey into a place, its character and its stories.
Mr. Anjini Prakash Laitu’s artistic journey is truly inspiring. Beginning his formal art journey later in life, he went on to become one of the UAE’s much-loved artists, earning the affectionate title “Colourman of Dubai” for his joyful, vibrant works and his belief in the positive energy of colour. He is also a member of the Emirates Fine Art Society and has exhibited extensively across the UAE, India and internationally.
It was a privilege to be among fellow artists, art lovers and members of the creative community who gathered to celebrate not just this beautiful exhibition, but the remarkable journey, passion and artistic spirit of Anjini ji.
