Colour, creativity and culture are coming to Liverpool Powerhouse this summer. 💫

‘The Offbeat Sari: Indian Fashion Unravelled’, a major international exhibition touring from the Design Museum, London, will arrive on 7 November 2026.

Featuring more than 50 contemporary saris from designers, wearers and craftspeople in India, it explores the innovations and social shifts reshaping how the sari is designed, made and worn.

Alongside The Offbeat Sari, ‘The Dressing Room’ brings together leading South Asian diasporic artists in Australia in an intimate contemporary art exhibition exploring identity and the traditions passed down through generations. 🥻

The exhibitions form part of our vibrant summer program celebrating the creativity and cultural knowledge of Liverpool’s South Asian communities, with talks, workshops, performances and community events developed with local partners.
