Considered one of the most influential films in Chinese film history and widely touted as China's equivalent to GONE WITH THE WIND, THE SPRING RIVER FLOWS EASTS 一江春水向東流 is a two-part masterpiece following a young couple torn apart by war and circumstance.

Co-directed by prominent filmmakers Cai Chusheng 蔡楚生 and Zheng Junli 鄭君里, the film set a benchmark for modern Chinese cinema, spanning years of longing, betrayal and moral collapse.

Meet the unlikeliest of screen heroes: a runaway hen 🐔

Following in the footsteps of GUNDA and COW, György Pálfi's HEN continues cinema's shift away from the human perspective.

A black-feathered chook escapes a battery farm, survives a gauntlet of dangers and settles into a coop by the sea, quietly observing how we humans treat one another...

It lures you in with adventure, then hooks you with a lead character who conveys emotion through nothing more than a single chooky glance 👀

With a unique vision of cinema primarily concerned with institutions, Wiseman’s documentaries examine the building blocks of Western society, helping us understand the society we live in.
