To celebrate the opening day of Camp Stove, we’re hosting an afternoon of conversations, performance and workshops with curator Kate ten Buuren () and the artists of Camp Stove; an exhibition on the craft of Q***r Blak survivance.

The program is presented through Craft’s First Peoples-led Program 2026 – featuring impact-led initiatives including First Peoples only programs and engagement with local First Peoples-owned businesses. The exhibition and programs are supported by Creative Victoria and Thorne Harbour Health.

Friday Watch | Take a look inside Numburundi Arts and the story of the art centre.

Built on self-determination, Numbulwar Numburundi Arts (NNA) is a collective of artists whose mission is to keep culture strong.

Throughout June, we’re exhibiting a collection of handwoven yir (dilly bags) and wulbung (baskets) by NNA artists.

Featured artists: Janette Murrungun, Joy Wilfred, Jocelyn Wilfred, Lillian Joshua, Mawungumain Nundhirribala, Rose Wilfred, Susan Murrungun and Yulki Nunggumajbarr.

Discover the collection now showing in the gallery – in the Atrium space until the end of June.

The Australian Government is developing a new National Cultural Policy. We're calling for proper recognition and investment in Australia's craft and design sector, skilled designers and makers working across this country who deserve a policy framework that matches their contribution.

The exhibition reimagining timber supply sources in contemporary woodworking practice. Seven artists and makers with specialised knowledge of timber engage the material beyond newly processed, machined slabs and find possibilities in existing materials.
