Throwback to 2023 when Samar Hejazi exhibited with us in Aurora Town Hall, Illusions of Separation! Suspending embroidery artworks from the wall, Hejazi challenges the belief of an art form that can only exist with the support of fabric, challenging viewers about the understanding and perception of boundaries.

3 years since this exhibition, Hejazi is at the Met Gala exhibiting her powerful, mirrored mannequin in the “Costume Art” exhibition. Congratulations, Samar!

🏅 Proud to share: the Aurora Cultural Centre holds the Imagine Canada Accreditation Trustmark.

Accreditation isn’t a one-time badge - it’s an ongoing commitment to high standards of governance, financial accountability, and transparency.

That foundation is what has allowed us to continue building trust with our community, donors, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and artists since first becoming accredited in 2013. It means the communities we serve and the supporters who believe in our mission can have full confidence in how we operate. Imagine Canada Standards is the only national accreditation framework built by nonprofits, for nonprofits - and we’re proud to be part of it.

Strong Foundation. Stronger Impact. 💪

We invite other nonprofits to join the Aurora Cultural Centre in strengthening the sector and growing our ability to lead and deliver impact:

Proud to support the 'Strong Leadership. Stronger Impact.' campaign from . This campaign celebrates nonprofits with proven governance and companies with verified community investment - and helps Canadians find the organizations that have earned the Trustmarks: imaginecanada.ca/stronger...
